Hi! I’m Ce’Nedra and I’m one of the Belgariad Babies. Lisa-mom calls us the BBs – at least that’s what I think she’s saying. She might be saying “babies” but she better not, ‘cause we’re not the babies. Zak & Cyra are the babies. We are big kittens! We’re so big that we play all over the house, climb on the furniture, and sleep at the top of the big cat tree. Anywhere the big cats go, we can, too. Well, maybe not the counters yet, but we’re working on that. I’m sure Taiba will figure that out soon and teach all the rest of us. Or maybe Polgara will, 'cause she can get on the dining room table all by herself. Anyway, I’m the one who gets to tell you all about us. Be prepared – there’s a lot of us, so it might take me awhile.

Taiba is our leader. She’s always the first to do anything. She was the first to get over the baby gate so she could escape from our bedroom. She’d climb up on the gate and just sit there, taunting the boys. They weren’t as good of climbers as her and they had to just sit on the floor while she teased them. Then she’d jump down and strut across the floor, waving her tail at them. That was a big mistake! Usually Belgarath or Garion would pounce on her. They are lots bigger than Taiba and me so she’d always lose the wrestling match. Then she’d be nice. For awhile. Taiba hates to hold still and she’s really impatient. When lisa-mom plays with us with teasers and especially when lisa-mom is trying to take our picture, Taiba talks to her all the while, saying “give me that teaser now or I’m going to chomp you!”

Garion is my best friend. When we were little our Kali-mom used to take just the two of us off to another corner and take care of us there. Garion is big and fluffy and he did a good job of keeping me warm until lisa-mom would come and move us back to where everyone else is. Garion likes to climb on lisa-mom. Just yesterday at the vet place he climbed up her legs so he could see what was happening on the table. He climbed all the way up to her shoulders! He also likes to chase around with Kheldar, whacking toys and stuff.

Kheldar has been sorta quiet lately. He likes to play, but he’s been sitting back and watching us for awhile before joining in. I think he’s just being cautious, ‘cause we’ve done so many new things. He wants to be sure it’s safe. But he loves to chew up toys, especially the fluffy balls. He also loves to be on lisa-mom – but he sits on her lap and purrs at her instead of climbing her like a tree. Well, once in awhile he'll climb up her legs, but he says he'd rather get her attention by being nice instead of scratching her legs.

The other climber is our family is Belgarath. He climbed up lisa-mom at the vet place yesterday, too. He only made it to her back before she made him stop. She was saying, “ouch, ouch!” and we all thought it was pretty funny to see her wiggling around trying to grab Garion and Belgarath off her back. She put Belgarath back on the chair and he decided to jump from the chair to her back instead of climbing again. That was funny, too. Belgarath is getting pretty good at jumping after teasers, too.

The last of my brothers is Lelldorin. His new mom wants to name him “Roar”. I’m not so sure about that. It’s not like he goes around roaring or anything. In fact, he’s kinda quiet. He likes to chase shiny balls and teasers. Like Belgarath, he’s getting good at jumping. We all are, really, but nobody is as good at it as Taiba. See, I told you she was our leader. Lelldorin runs all over chasing toys. He hardly ever slows down except to take naps.

So that leaves my sister Polgara. Polgara is a bit of a princess, always sitting there looking pretty. She poses for lisa-mom’s pictures better than any of us most times.  Lisa-mom says that’s good because Polgara is going to be a show cat and she needs to learn how to hold still and behave. (I think that sounds kinda boring.) Garion poses good, too, but he's not a princess. Maybe he's a prince? Anyway, just because she poses doesn’t mean Polgara doesn’t like to play, climb and jump. She was showing off yesterday at the vet place. Lisa-mom was showing the people there how we all like to jump and Polgara was running and jumping way high in the air after the teaser. Of course, the rest of us had to show that we could jump, too, and we kept jumping on top each other, trying to be best.

So that’s everyone. Well, except me. I don’t really know what to say about myself. I’m a little quiet and shy, but I like to play and jump. I don’t like it when the boys wrestle with me and I yell for help when they pounce on me. They are big and I’m little, so it’s not really fair for them to jump on me. I like to cuddle beside lisa-mom, Kali-mom, and Grandma Talia. Kali-mom doesn’t cuddle with us much any more, but Grandma Talia still does. Kali-mom has been teaching us about food, though. She brings us forks, spoons, and food cans. Sometimes she even brings us syringes and bottle nipples. She says that’s where the really yummy food comes from and if we see lisa-mom or Ken-dad with those things we should run over to them – and jump on the counter if we can – so we get to the good food before it’s all gone. It seems to me that there’s a lot of good food still on the plate when lisa-mom puts it on the floor, but maybe the best stuff gets eaten by everyone on the counter. Guess I’ll find out some day when I can get up there. I sure hope Taiba figures that out soon!

Whew! I’m worn out from all this writing. I think I need to go take a nap before lisa-mom gets home so I’ll be rested up to play. I hope you liked meeting us – we’d like to meet you, too, so maybe you could come visit someday? We’d like that!

(Please note that you will see a number of photos of our cats and kittens that I've taken outside in a natural setting. The LostWoods cats do NOT go outside unsupervised! When we do go outside for pictures and occasional adventures, there is always one person and usually two watching them closely. We do have an outside, fully enclosed run to which the older cats are allowed access, but even then we check on them often.)
