If you have spent some time exploring the LostWoods site and read about my cats, you’ll know that one of my “babies” is from a local animal shelter. Zeke is as precious to me as my Wegies and every bit as much a part of the family. If you have come to this site looking for a cat or kitten please consider visiting your local shelter. There are many cats and kittens who are pleading for a warm, safe home where they will be cared for and loved. Give them a chance to touch your heart.

If after all this you still want one of my Norwegian Forest Cats, (and they are really great cats) I will give you this deal. If you go to a shelter and adopt a cat I will reduce the price of your kitten by $50.00. Or if you give a donation to your local shelter I will match that donation up to $50.00 in a reduction of price on the kitten you purchase. (You will have to provide me a receipt.) I will not pressure you or mention this page to you. You will have to bring it up in the conversation.

(Thanks to Patti Andrews of Jedidiah Norwegian Forest Cats for this wonderful and compassionate idea for helping rescue cats.)

Besides loving cats, I have several other “pet” causes (pun intended.) Check out:

Habitat for Humanity

Lunch For Life (if you want to know why I've posted this link, click here.)

 Children's Neuroblastoma Cancer Foundation

 The Hunger Site

 The Breast Cancer Site

 Alley Cat Allies

(Please note that you will see a number of photos of our cats and kittens that I've taken outside in a natural setting. The LostWoods cats do NOT go outside unsupervised! When we do go outside for pictures and occasional adventures, there is always one person and usually two watching them closely. We do have an outside, fully enclosed run to which the older cats are allowed access, but even then we check on them often.)
