I really liked Alliandre's look from Bria and Peanut's first litter, so when I made plans to breed Bria with Peanut again I told her that I wanted another beautiful silver patch tabby and white like Ali -- only I wanted her to be more outgoing than Ali. So when the Little Lions were born, I was very happy to see Kefira and yes, she's turned out to be social, playful, and quite the little princess. Even her Ken-dad seems to like her (although he calls her "Snaggle" -- after Snaggle Puss because she loves caves just like him.) I'm thrilled I get to keep her and that one day she'll be having kittens to carry on Bria's and Peanut's lines. Kefira is mom to The Leprechauns - Litter 15, the Winter Gifts - Litter 19 and Fire & Smoke - Litter 23. Also, visit the Show News page to see how Kefira is doing in the show ring.

Kali is one of our Montana Kids. I love her intense red and beautiful classic pattern. And besides being a lovely cat, she has a great personality. She is sorta like the cute, ditzy, talkative teenage girl we all knew in school. Our pet sitter refers to her as "the skinny, friendly one." You just can't help smiling when she's around. Kali loves to play with the little red fairy (the laser pointer), feather teasers, and her favorite remnants of a fishing feather. Yes, I meant remnants. There is no feather on the end, but that doesn't stop Kali from dragging it around the house so we'll play with her. Her other favorite toys are her spoons (baby spoons she's claimed for her own) and any other thing that might have served up food. Plus, she's seriously boy crazy - a good thing in a breeding female, I suppose. Her favorite companions are Dilan, Zeke and Peanut. Kali is the mother of the Belgariad Babies (Litter #16),the Melons (Litter #21) and the Beloved Kittens (Litter #25).

Fin is the last son
of Shira and Peanut - and almost a carbon copy of his daddy. I'd been hoping for a
girl to keep out of Shira, but when that didn't happen I decided to watch how
Fin developed. When he came along as wonderfully as I suspected he would, I
decided to keep him to replace both his Shira-mom and Peanut-dad in my breeding
program. Fin is a very spoiled only child and is often referred to as the "brat
cat" at our house. He loves to play, play, play with anything and anyone that
moves, although his favorite toys are crinkle balls. Uncle Zekie is his favorite and I'm sure that Zeke is looking forward to
the day that Fin isn't such a wild child. Fin also loves to play with the
kittens. I'm hoping to show Fin in the next
year or so, so check out his results on the Show News
page. Fin is father to the WOT II kittens (litter 18),
the Melons (Litter #21),

Brenda and I had been talking for the past year about getting another boy -- a complete outcross to be the boyfriend of any LostWoods girls I might want to keep around. I was thinking about a black and white boy and had talked to a few people about kittens, it just hadn't worked out. Tracy McCullough of Norlights had a couple of litter of kittens and the "M" litter had a cute little black and white boy. Brenda went to visit and took pictures of all the kittens. So much for the black and white -- we fell in love with McCoy. I guess we have a weakness for red and white boys! McCoy has an excellent pedigree -- the complete outcross I needed with some outstanding cats among his ancestors. He's a good sized boy with nice type and a great personality. Brenda and her son Grant will be showing McCoy (see the Show News page for his results). McCoy is the father of Litter 20 - The Warrior Cats, Fire & Smoke - Litter 23 and The Royals (Litter #26). He also has sired litters at RedCanyon, AZWegie and Ouijakatz. Thank you, Tracy!

D.O.B: 08/01/2007
Basia's story began about two years ago when a family in Estes
Park decided to cancel the contract they had on
Torianna. My pathetic little homeless
girl needed a home. I didn't really know Jim and Donna Armel then --
just what I knew from reading their posts and second hand from
mutual friends. What I did know was that they liked to show their
cats, they had a handsome male cat that I admired a lot, and most of
all, they very much loved their fur kids. So an agreement was forged
that sent Tori to ForestKatz and gave me the opportunity to later
get a kitten back under the same terms if I wanted. I admit it -- I
thought my little girl and that handsome boy were going to make
magic together and I wanted a bit of that magic for myself. Well,
magic it was indeed when Tori and Guri had their babies last year.
But the only surviving kittens were boys and I had my heart set on a
girl with the same personality and attitude of Tori and her mama
Shira, the Queen of Everything. So I said I'd wait. The waiting was
worth every second! The moment I saw Basia's pictures I knew she was
the girl for me. Nothing I heard or saw in the next three months
changed my mind. Now that I have her here with me, I couldn't be
more happy.

(Please note that you will see a number of photos of our cats and kittens that I've taken outside in a natural setting. The LostWoods cats do NOT go outside unsupervised! We do have an outside, fully enclosed run to which the older cats are allowed access, but even then we check on them often.) Site content copyright lisa s. vasa 2001-2008.
